CALL OUT - 05/05/2024 - 20:20 - Our inshore lifeboat, the Christopher Taylor, was tasked by Holyhead Coastguard to assist four people who had become stranded on one of the Marine Lake’s islands.
The D-Class launched and quickly reached the individuals, who were taken onboard and dropped off lake-side.
We would like to remind people of the dangers presented by inflatables. While a lake provides a safer environment to use inflatables compared to the sea, it is important to use the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and observe local bylaws.
Permission is required to use Southport’s Marine Lake. The use of inflatables at sea are strongly discouraged.
